For Whistles to grow and succeed we need to invest in our people and support them to develop in their career. As we are a relatively small compared to large corporate retailers, we offer development opportunities different to those of the traditional corporate retailer. What we lack in size, we make up for in opportunity and support.

On the job development

We recognise that most development in your role will happen on the job – we therefore provide reviews and appraisals as a fantastic opportunity for you to discuss your performance and career development with your line manager. This also offers the chance to capture all the on the job learning, recognise and record your achievements as well as providing constructive feedback on areas for development for the year ahead. To help log all individual developments, all new starters are given a career planner.

Training workshops & development programmes

We also have a range of innovative learning and development interventions, designed in-house and based on the most modern theories - these bespoke workshops will help you develop everything from communication skills through to leadership potential. Your manager will help select the training most suitable to your job role and development needs.
