Jane's diary: February
Peek inside the diary of Jane Shepherdson - our inspirational CEO.
Elle Style Awards
I kicked off London Fashion Week with the Elle Style Awards and as always, it was a really great party! I managed to catch up with lots of old friends, including Christopher Kane and a scattering of Hollywood stars such as Bradley Cooper of Silver Linings fame.
My favourites: Luna tie dye sweat
The next day, I treated myself to lunch at the River Café with a couple of fashion friends. The food is always so fresh and delicious and Keira Knightley was on the next table so we had something to look at too!
London Fashion Week
I always like to squeeze in a couple of shows and events, so I popped in to see Roksanda’s show on the Tuesday, which left me with a mile-long wish list. I ended the week at the Harper's Bazaar party, hosted by the wonderful Editor in Chief, Justine Picardie.
The next day was a flurry of show prep, castings and fittings with our NY stylist Sara Moonves. The next day, the entire Whistles team got involved with dressing the models and the finished result was better than we had all imagined. Our front row was a who’s who of fashion’s brightest and most talented writers and stylists.
When it comes to reading, I am an absolute bookworm. I set my own record this week by reading Gillian Flynn’s fabulous Gone Girl in two days flat. Nominated for the prestigious Women’s Fiction Prize, this shocking psychological thriller is Gillian’s best work yet.
