Spring/summer 2014 London Fashion Week

The highlight of the year so far was our show at London Fashion Week. The months of preparation were all worth it when we watched our beautiful models striding down the catwalk 32 floors above the city of London. Our venue, the heron tower – home of Sushi Samba, and bang next door to the Gherkin- was filled with the world’s top fashion journalists and bloggers. The collection looked stunning; a thoroughly modern take on an urban safari, with silk organza feather printed separates, raffia coats, and sleek sexy all in ones. I can’t wait for next summer, so that we can all buy it. Watch behind the scenes film here.

Dinner at Hoi Polloi

This month I dined at East London's new all-day brasserie Hoi Polloi. After stepping curiously through the Ace Hotel's small flower shop that flanks the Hotel's main entrance, I found myself at the entrance of my unseen destination. Created by the team behind Bistrotheque, this hip eatery is modern, elegant and relaxing - from the glossy marble cocktail bar to the intimate dining alcoves and delicious British food. I'll be popping back soon to try the brunch menu.

The Gentlewoman, Issue 8

The Gentlewoman is always at the top of my reading list. Issue 8 is the thickest issue to date, and is crammed with inspiring profiles on a whole host of hugely influential women, from Martha Stewart to Katie Hillier, the designer of the wonderful heart ring from our Trekstock collaboration collection. I’m loving the smart black front cover too, featuring gorgeous French actress Léa Seydoux in the perfect Miu Miu LBD. The issue was launched on the Gentlewoman's beautiful brand new website.

Women of Substance

I had a ball the other night when I joined the girls behind The Women’s Room blog and their readers at an event in the newly opened Ace Hotel in Shoreditch – what a cool place – they even have Japanese designed gearless bicycles in the lobby for guests to pedal around the local area. The event was called Women of Substance, and was chaired by the very sharp and funny Viv Groskop, who incidentally has just finished a season of stand-up at the Edinburgh Fringe – Viv, I salute you! I can’t think of anything more terrifying than exposing your innermost feelings, only to be heckled relentlessly. It was a wonderful evening and I met some of the most interesting and stimulating women in London.

Item of the month

The Lennox Sheepskin Jacket is the most gorgeous jacket I have ever seen. It is expensive, but it goes with everything – skinnies with boots, boyfriend jeans, leather pegs, leather skirts…I could go on. It’s so warm and cosy you won’t need anything else all winter – pure luxury.
