The inside track: autumn/winter 2013

Want the inside track on our season? Here's an edit from our CEO Jane Shepherdson.

This is the perfect autumn/winter look. The leather trousers are a carrot cut so they're not too tight and then there's the simple cashmere rollneck. Anyone who loves biker jackets should have a longer line one this season. It's about gorgeous, effortless luxury. You don't need anything else.

I like that this is a bit of a uniform but in a subtle way. It's as easy as wearing a dress but in a very cool way. While pyjama dressing has been around for a while, the wider trousers here make it feel new. The camo print is also great. I love that it's luxe – a contradiction in terms, perhaps, but a great one.

This is just one of our new bags this season – accessories in general are great for autumn. It's adorable – like a little piglet, something you want to pick up immediately. There is definitely a tactile element for autumn – texture is everywhere, from the smooth leather to soft knits and calf skins like this.

There's quite a lot of volume in our knits this season – it's about cocooning. Boyfriend fits have become a bit of a signature of the brand. This is a reworked fisherman's jumper that you just want to cuddle up into immediately. I'd wear it with leather trousers to keep the texture contrast.

This shoe has the perfect height and the contrast is so sharp. Somehow, the white toe makes it really flattering and feminine. It works with all the designs in the collection – especially when you can see the strap. I'd wear it with everything from boyfriend jeans to a circle skirt.
