Bookshelf: Penguin Lines

30.04.2013

Here at Whistles there’s only one thing we love more than Penguin Books and that’s London. Fortunately, the two have come together in Penguin’s latest release.

Paying tribute to the London Underground, the Penguin Lines collection comprises 12 paperbacks – or eBooks - inspired by each of the London Underground lines. Each volume is written by a different influential writer from a variety of fascinating fields spanning fashion through to politics. Our favourites are Buttoned-up, a testament to the button-up shirt and the East London Line written by the guys at Fantastic Man magazine, and Heads and Straights, a personal account of an eccentric Chelsea upbringing penned by award-winning author Lucy Wadham.

Whistles recommends treating your bookshelf to the entire boxset and reading them one by one on your daily commute. Shop paper and e-book versions here.
