London Collections: Men
Here at Whistles HQ, we’ve been hugely excited about the fourth edition of London Collections: Men this week. The three-day schedule of back-to-back AW14 shows underscores an emerging menswear scene in London, one that we can’t wait to join next season with our debut menswear collection.
Standout collections included Matthew Miller, Common, Agi & Sam and Casley Hayford. The atmosphere at Matthew Miller’s show was palpable, as tough-looking models stormed the runway. The London-based designer’s collection resembled a razor-sharp rebellion as boxy, grungy silhouettes and shredded trousers were juxtaposed with silk t-shirts and tailored smocks.
Whistles woman Becky French of Marwood London also showcased her latest neckwear offering in the accessories showroom at Victoria House. The collection is inspired by the dark, painterly works of Viennese artist Koloman Moser and features a new range of socks that we can’t wait to invest in.
Our inaugural menswear collection will be available from this autumn.
