White shirt moments (and how to wear them)

At Whistles, we have an obsession with the classic white shirt – the ultimate perennial wardrobe piece. Iconic, sexy, confident – it’s the epitome of effortless dressing. So excited by our recent arrival of shirt shapes, we created a mood board of our best-loved white shirt moments.

From Uma Thurman’s crisp precision in 90’s cult classic Pulp Fiction to Meryl Streep’s soft fluid silhouette in Woody Allen’s Annie Hall - there is a style for all moods, buttoned up or down, tucked in, or let loose.

How to wear it? If your letting your shirt hang loose, we recommend rolling sleeves and pairing with a slim fit trouser and shoe that bares some flesh. If you’re tucking in and buttoning down (à la Emmanuelle Alt), opt for a flare or boyfriend jean for a modern but flattering silhouette.

Tousled hair and a nonchalant Parisian attitude comes as a given.
