Our responsibility

We are at the early stages of a social programme that reflects our commitment to provide people with dignified work, which enhances their livelihood by empowering them both socially and economically. Human rights, higher labour standards and a respect for the environment are at the centre of our programme, alongside our core values of fairness, integrity, transparency and collaboration.

Our Supplier Code of Conduct. outlines our expectations regarding the conditions under which our beautifully crafted products should be manufactured.

We actively engage with critical stakeholders who want to contribute to our progress in a positive way – we have engaged MADE-BY to supports us with our holistic sustainability strategy, and since 2015 we became a member of the Ethical Trade Initiative.

As a signatory to SCAP 2020 (Sustainable Clothing Action Plan) since 2012, Whistles became part of a ground-breaking industry initiative driving significant and collaborative environmental change across the sector. Together with other 78 organisations, we are working to reduce the carbon, water and waste footprint of clothing sold in the UK by 2020.
