The velvet colour and pattern are really nice, but my thinnest part is my waist and I'm somewhat petite so the looser fit around the middle didn't suit me.

Too boxy for me as doesn't come in at the waist at all so your hip width will determine the width of the dress

The dress is very flattering on, which I wasn't sure about from the pictures on the model - I am a normal size 10 and 5 ft 6 so could have been swamped in this style of dress but it's cut well and flatters. Nice balance of covered up and exposed skin so easy to wear to anything. Falls to about mid thigh on me so doesn't look quite as short as in the pictures.
