A healthy hedonist’s guide to Shoreditch

From super-charged spin classes with throbbing euphoric beats, to paddleboard yoga and core-strengthening ballet barre – there’s even a class dedicated to helping you “look better naked” – you’ll find all of this and more at London’s ultimate party gym; Gymbox Old Street.
After working up a sweat, shower off and walk 5 minutes to Lantana Cafe for a healthy, hearty breakfast and some punchy Aussie-style coffee. Our personal menu favourites include the toasted courgette bread topped with halloumi, sweetcorn, beans and smashed avocado or the wild mushrooms on sourdough finished with a poached egg. For those craving something lighter we recommend the honey granola, coconut rice pudding or one of their grab and go fresh juices. Pack in the vitamin C and beta-carotene with a Sunshine Coast, or toast the day with a refreshing Hibiscus Collins.
You’ve worked out, primed your body with enriching food and had a catch up with friends – with your happy hormones now firing on all cylinders, it’s time for a little self-care. Head down to Imarni Nails in Boxpark for a luxury manicure or pedicure, before taking a 10-minute walk through bustling Shoreditch to Whistles Spitalfields for a spot of shopping.
Loop back to Redchurch St to Chromayoga and wind down with some artistic yoga with brain stimulating soundscapes (only in Shoreditch!) then head to Boundary, the trendiest rooftop in East London for rounds of olives, tapenade and charcuterie all washed down with ice-cold Provencal rosé. Sounds like our kind of day out.
