The Gita Dress
I chose this dress in a bid to completely step out of my comfort zone. I don’t wear print often, so the thought of gingham can feel quite frightening, but the lean fit and utilitarian look of this dress stops the print from taking over. I really like the polished and thought-out details such as the d-ring belt, the elastic and the apron style tabs.
I've layered it with a white button down poplin shirt to tie in with the utilitarian look (and because it's still freezing!) but come summer, I can't wait to wear it on its own, with a simple sandal.
The soft suit
There's something really confidence-boosting about wearing a suit. I feel unstoppable! I love the relaxed tailoring and feel polished yet effortless when wearing it. The belted jacket brings a contemporary and luxury element to the look. The motion of tying the belt is really satisfying - I tie it in a half bow/half knot hybrid to keep it looking un-done. The trainer is no longer just a casual shoe, and paired with this look the Aith Trainers are elevated. I'd wear this look to a party or to meeting, it sounds cliche but it's so versatile!
