Corinne Day: May The Circle Remain Unbroken
The imminent release of May The Circle Remain Unbroken has left us feeling that our coffee table book collections are seriously inferior. Three years have passed since the tragic death of the realist photographer and this beautiful volume, produced by Day’s husband Mark Szaszy pays tribute to previously un-published works of the photographer, along with an exhibition that has just launched at the Gimpel Fils gallery.
It was Day’s interest in post-rave youth culture that led to her discovery of a fourteen-year old Kate Moss. Seeking models for material to pitch to zeitgeist rag The Face, Day spotted an out-of-focus Polaroid of Moss. From then on, Day was considered the pioneer of a gritty new gaze dubbed heroine chic and her trajectory launched into the stratosphere.
Only 1000 copies of the book will be printed. We recommend ordering yours here while stocks last.
